Many of the most important business skills include integrity, ethics, character, generosity, and helping others. Yet the stereotype of effective businesses is that they are places where selfishness and greed dominate. Which is correct? Overwhelmingly, in recent years, the evidence proves that the companies and people who “do good” are the also ones that do well financially, and where people thrive professionally. These are behaviors that can be taught and put into place in any school or work environment; they make people healthier, happier, and more productive, with a greater sense of purpose and meaning.
